Dog Training Services
Introduction
Welcome to HoundTales, your trusted partner in professional dog training services. By engaging with our services, you agree to adhere to the terms and conditions outlined in this policy.
Scope of Services
HoundTales provides a variety of dog training services, including but not limited to obedience training, behavior modification, and puppy training. All training is conducted by certified professionals who utilize balanced training methods designed to meet the
unique needs of each dog and help owners achieve their desired training outcomes.
Client Responsibilities
Clients are required to provide accurate and truthful information regarding their dog’s health, behavior, and training history. This includes disclosing any known medical conditions, vaccination records, and behavioral issues such as aggression or anxiety.
Clients are also expected to actively participate in the training process by conducting the exercises and techniques recommended by our trainers. Consistency, effort, and commitment are essential to achieving the best possible results.
Additionally, clients must use all training tools and techniques responsibly, as instructed by HoundTales trainers. Failure to use these tools or techniques properly may result in harm to the dog or the development of undesirable behaviors over time.
HoundTales is not liable for any negative outcomes resulting from the misuse of training equipment or improper application of training methods. This misuse will be evaluated by both a professional trainer and the houndtales team.
Liability Waiver
By participating in our training programs, you acknowledge that working with dogs carries certain risks. You accept full responsibility for any potential risks or injuries that may occur during training sessions. Furthermore, you agree to release HoundTales, its trainers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your participation in our services.

Refunds and Cancellations
1. Cancellation Before Training Starts:

Clients may cancel their training program before it begins. However, cancellations made less than 14 days before the scheduled start date will not be eligible for a refund.
2. Cancellation After Training Has Started:

Once a program has commenced, cancellations are not permitted except in exceptional circumstances, such as severe illness or death.

Clients requesting a cancellation due to illness or death must provide valid documentation as proof (e.g., a doctor’s note, veterinary records, or a death certificate). Refunds will not be processed without this proof.
3. Rescheduling by HoundTales:
HoundTales reserves the right to reschedule training sessions or programs for the following reasons, without issuing a refund:

Trainer unavailability or the need to assign a replacement trainer.

The dog’s vaccinations are not current.

Puppies don’t have the initial 2 doses of DHLPP or DAPP and Bordetella aka Kennel Cough.

The dog is sick upon arrival or becomes ill during the program. In such cases, the dog will be sent home, and training will resume once the dog has fully recovered.

National or company holidays.

The client provides false or incomplete information about the dog’s health, vaccinations, or behavior.
4. Rescheduling Timeline:

If a program is delayed or interrupted, HoundTales will provide an alternative start date within 60 days. If HoundTales is unable to provide the promised service within this timeframe, the client is entitled to a full refund.
5. Program Stoppage Mid-Training:

If a training program is interrupted due to trainer availability or other issues, HoundTales will arrange for a new trainer and schedule within 60 days. Refunds will not be issued in these cases. If unable to find a replacement, a full or partial refund will be issued.

Results Disclaimer
HoundTales does not guarantee specific results from its training programs. While we strive to provide effective and customized training using balanced training methods, outcomes may vary due to factors beyond our control. These factors include the dog’s
temperament, environment, and the owner’s commitment to practicing the training techniques consistently and responsibly, especially the correct usage of training tools.
Clients acknowledge that results may differ for each dog, but HoundTales is dedicated to offering in person follow-up sessions to ensure ongoing guidance and assistance even after the initial training program concludes.
Intellectual Property Rights
All materials provided by HoundTales, including training manuals, instructional videos, and other resources, are the exclusive property of HoundTales LLC and are protected by copyright laws. Clients may not copy, distribute, or reproduce any of these materials without prior written consent.
Confidentiality
HoundTales respects your privacy and will not share any personal or identifying information about you or your dog with third parties without your consent. Anonymous data may be used for research or marketing purposes, but no identifying details will ever be disclosed.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the state of South Dakota. Any disputes arising from your participation in our services will be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

Changes to Policy
HoundTales reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Updated policies will be posted on our website and will take effect immediately.
Client Responsibility for Damages
Clients are responsible for any damages caused by their dogs to HoundTales’ equipment, property, or facilities during training sessions. If a client’s dog damages any items, the client agrees to cover the cost of repair or replacement of the damaged
items.
